As an organization we host these events as a formal recruitment events.  They are set up to be fun and welcoming to new potential members.  These rushes give students a chance to come by the fraternity house and give potential and current members a chance to learn about each other and the organization.  Rushees pick and chose which rushes they would like to attend and are free to come and go as they please.  Rushing does not put any commitment on you, the rushee, to join and at all times is just a fun and relaxing experience.
